Thermal imaging, also known as infrared thermography, is a non-contact diagnostic technique that uses infrared cameras to visualize and measure the heat emitted from objects. It translates temperature differences into color-coded images (thermograms), allowing technicians and engineers to see areas of abnormal heat patterns, which often indicate problems before failure occurs.
